As part of Open House London Festival 2021, Roca London Gallery opened its doors for the weekends of September 4th, 5th, 11th and 12th. Our participation marked the return of the much sought after guided tours of the Roca London Gallery with Zaha Hadid Architects with two free architectural tours on Saturday 11th of September at 12:00 and 15:00. The tours were led by Margarita Valova, Project Architect at Zaha Hadid Architects who worked on the award-winning building. With this unique insight, the presenters explained the complexities and unique design features of the interior, including the iconic double-curved walls. For the duration of the weekend, the Roca London Gallery team were also on hand to answer any questions vistors had about the architecture.

Also open to visit during this time was pop-up exhibition ‘Designing Out’ in collaboration with Architecture LGBT+. Showcasing LGBTQIA+ talent from beyond professional practice, the exhibition featured a fascinating range of diverse projects and research from students, graduates, professionals and academics. The proposals engaged with wide-ranging themes within the built environment, some of which directly related to LGBTQIA+ themes, or were by designers who identifed as being part of the community; or both.

Thank you to everyone who visited and to the fantastic Open House volunteers who helped throughout the festival.
