This September sees the return of the extended double weekend for Open House London 2023. Roca London Gallery designed by Zaha Hadid Architects will be open as usual on Saturday 9th and 16th, and additionally on Sunday 10th from 11:00 – 17.00 each day. Guided architectural tours delivered by Zaha Hadid Design will be given on Saturday 9th September at 12:00 and 15:00. The tours will last around 1 hour and there is no need to book in advance.
Visitors to the gallery will also have the opportunity to explore and discover the new exhibition Small Spaces in the City: Rethinking Inside the Box. Curated by Clare Farrow, this major exhibition looks at the challenges and innovative solutions for small live-and-work spaces in the city. It showcases models, illustrations and film that show how designers from London to Tokyo have responded to the challenge of small spaces. The exhibition also asks how these small space concepts can be applied across housing typologies; as well as whether a small space can only work for a single person or young couple, with minimalist minds.
