As part of their autumn programme, the Royal Academy of Arts presents the most important solo exhibition of Antony Gormley’s work for over a decade. Featuring industrial and organic materials of iron, clay, steel and lead, Gormley’s sculptural installations encourage visitors to become conscious of their own bodies and negotiate movement through his works of art, experiencing disorientation and imaginative participation. Consisting of large scale environments created especially for the Royal Academy Main Galleries, the exhibition also includes Gormley’s sketchbooks and drawings from his rarely seen early work.
