In February 2023 Roca London Gallery will open our doors to an exciting new exhibition on architectural drawing, curated by architect and author of the new RIBA Book Drawing Attention Hamza Shaikh, in collaboration with Drawing Matter. The exhibition will feature architectural drawings from the Drawing Matter archive (which includes works dating back to the sixteenth century) alongside a selection of present day works carefully selected by Hamza; historical pieces will be juxtaposed with new, to show how drawing has not only always been used to represent and circulate innovative ideas, but how it continues to inspire and push innovation forwards.
As always, admission to the exhibition will be free and there will also be an accompanying programme of events, exploring different threads within this topic.
