The Zaha Hadid Design portfolio encompasses 40 years of research expressed in pioneering design. It includes commissions from a wide range of design disciplines such as fashion, jewellery, furniture pieces, sculptures, installations, interiors, exhibition, and set-design. Under the co-directorship of Woody Yao and Maha Kutay, it has constantly experimented, collaborating with makers around the world to create timeless pieces – because ‘Zaha was always ahead of her time’, as Yao says.

Even with over 90 objects, which were on display at the Roca London Gallery during ‘Everything Flows’ exhibition, only 20% of their output to date was on show.  Maha and Woody looked back at the crafting of some of these objects and discussed with moderator Suzanne Trocmé how their collaborative journey has continued to open their eyes to the potentiality of materials, as one design outcome flows into the inspiration for creating the next.
