For the final event accompanying The Data and Life of Great Future Cities, Jan Gehl, Founder & Senior Advisor at Gehl joined us for a breakfast lecture. As a pioneer of urban observation and analysis since the 1960’s, Jan drew on his extensive work with creating cities for people worldwide, exploring how evidence based approaches to studying public life have changed over the years. The lecture also looked at how the collection of data can play an important role in recording public life, and how it can support a human centered approach to urban planning.
