This month sees the final weeks of Luce at the Daniel Benjamin Gallery. A conversation between two UK-based artists, Liz West and Jemma Appleby, this exhibition explores the intricate relationship between architecture and light and the human responses that these two invoke.

Commissioned by the Natural History Museum, viewers are encouraged to submerge in the saturated light that occupies the entire ground floor. Through her manipulation of light, West creates a vivid and sensory environment where visitors can interact with the colourful installations. The work of Appleby exposes a new perspective on architectural forms, focussing on parts of a building’s structure and highlights how light and shadow play within.
