Following a relocation to Kensington in 2016, the John Pawson designed museum has welcomed over 2 million visitors and was awarded European Museum of the Year in 2018.

Over the next year, Roca London Gallery will be collaborating on a number of activities with the Design Museum, including sponsorship of the critically acclaimed exhibition Waste Age: What Can Design Do. Showcasing the visionary designers that are reinventing our relationship with waste, the exhibition features contributions from Formafantasma, Stella McCartney and the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, focusing on what design can do to tackle the critical problem of waste and its environmental consequences across the globe. Visitors are invited to explore how designers are redefining fashion, construction, food, electronics, packaging and more through over 300 objects, by designing out waste and creating a more circular economy.

‘Waste Age is an exhibition that seeks to show how design can tackle the profound issue of waste and its impact on the environment, but also how design practices can be used to mitigate the damage and present a more sustainable future. It’s heartening to see that so many arts and cultural organisations like Roca London Gallery have put this agenda at the forefront, and we are delighted to have them as exhibition supporters.’ Gemma Curtin.
