IDENCITY: SIX DESIGN PROPOSALS FROM THE LSA TO CHALLENGE THE IDENTITY OF LONDON
04/06/2018 to 11/08/2018Free exhibition.
Idencity brings together young people and leading architects to reimagine the city. First year students from the London School of Architecture worked closely with architects from the school's Practice Network to create bold ideas to address the UN Sustainable Development goals, and in the process change the identity of London.
Responding to this year's London Festival of Architecture 'identity' theme, Idencity will show how architects in London can and should address vital issues around urban identity such as governance, wellbeing, ecology, infrastructure, density and tall buildings. Exhibits will be made up of large-scale installations, working models and drawings that describe a series of practical ideas developed by architects and students working together.
A number of evening events, open to the public, will be organized to coicnide with the exhibition:
Idencity: The Live Design Pitch
18.30 - 20.30
Wednesday 6th June
Each student Design Think Tank will take their ideas from proposals to pitches and present their plans to a panel of representatives who will give immediate feedback, testing the student concepts against reality, with an honest response in front of a live audience.
