To mark the opening of Power House: The Architecture of Data Centres on Wednesday 3 November, curator Clare Dowdy introduced the exhibition and was followed by a fascinating discussion chaired by Dezeen editor Tom Ravenscroft with Professor Iain Macdonald, ArtEZ University of the Arts: Instance of Uncertain Spaces, Robert Thorogood, MEP and Lead Director at HDR and Angela Vico Correas, architect and Director at Nicholas Webb Architects. They explored how data centres are moving into our cities and how these mysterious yet powerful buildings they be integrated into the urban fabric.
