Exhibition Event | Data Centres – What’s The Future?

Article image

As part of the exhibition Power House: The Architecture of Data Centres, curator Clare Dowdy chairs a discussion on data centres’ future. The focus will be two concepts created especially for the show: Rachel Atthis, director of Arup, will present Rethinking Oil Rigs; and Martin Wright, director of Scott Brownrigg, will present Mixed Use and Up Close. These two visions will be critiqued by Rennie Dalrymple, managing director of Concert, who are project managers, cost consultants and health & safety consultants for data centres. And Marina Otero Verzier, architect and head of MA in Social Design at Design Academy Eindhoven, will explore data centres as ‘post-human institutions’.

Staying safe: Please note that we have taken steps to ensure Roca London Gallery is reasonably COVID-19 secure with cleaning, handwashing and hygiene procedures in line with guidance. Hand sanitiser will be available, and face coverings will be required on the night following government guidelines.
